how to add different textures for each subtools?

hey it’s me again :o
I have a serious problem about adding texture to my model
my model includes 6 subtools.I’m gonna render my artwork inside zbrush so I need to add textures there
with special thanks to aurick,I used zapp link for the texture and as u know, it gave me ahigh res photo.it seems perfect alone, but when I add my texture to the head, the other subtools will have the same texture
I treid texture to color, but becouse my model is not in very high sdiv,my texture looks bad on the model.I don’t wanna devide it more couse other subtools are in really high polys .I even used subtool master plugin, but it needs color and it didn’t accept texture.

so,how can I add my texture for just one subtool? I mean different textures for each subtool :o

thank you so much and good luck

You’ll have to drop each subtool to the canvas. If you hide all subtools by unchecking the eye icon, you’ll be left with only one visible, won’t you? Apply its texture and then create a snapshot of it ( Shift-S). Move down to the next subtool; the first one will disappear, leaving only its snapshot pixol version behind. Change the texture to the one for the newly visible subtool and then snapshot this one too. Continue down the subtool stack in this way till they’re all snapshotted to the canvas with their correct textures. Then render!

Cheers,

R

Or you can convert each SubTool’s texture to PolyPaint. Divide the SubTool so it has about as many polygons as the texture has pixels, then apply the texture to it and press Tool:small_orange_diamond:Texture:small_orange_diamond:Txr>Col. This converts the texture to PolyPaint. You can then move on and repeat for each remaining SubTool.

(Note: This instruction is for ZBrush 3.1. Version 3.12 allows each SubTool to have its own texture.)

thank u so much both Rory and aurick :o .really appreciate :+1: :+1: :+1:
