How to ad detail ?

Hi, newbie here.

I modeled a glass and imported in zbrush to emboss a cocacola logo. my problem is that i can only render a limited number of polys let’s say 500.000 and i don’t have enough detail in my logo. Although my glass has a lot of polys my logo does not. my question is how to add more polys to a specific part of the model?
i can’t mask and subdivide becouse it’s glass and i can see the diference between parts in render. i am thinking to try edge loop but i can’t find any tutorial on how to use edgeloop. i masked the logo, and presed edge loop but although it seems to ad polys i can’t see eny difference.

please help.

thank you.

Try to subdivide the logo zone of the low poly mesh (in your 3d software) with the goal that when you import the glass in Zbrush and make subdiv, it will add the high part of the detail over the logo zone.

Other way perhaps would be not Sculpt, only use a 2K or 4K texture, paint the logo on the bottle (you don’t need Zbrush for this, the ideal would be project logo from a cylindrical mapping), and simply use it like bump, BUT if you want normal mapping, in theory you could use the bump mapping texture with Zmapper to make a normal, only that this Zmapper feature don’t work. So you can use a normal mapping filter from photoshop or gimp, and add strengh for increase/decrease depth.

Get luck!.

Thank you.

i used zbrush to project a image of the logo ijn PM because the logo shape is to complicated for me to model. so i was trying to avoid this.
