Hi all! I’m planning to get the Keyshot Bridge bundle for ZBrush, and according to the docs page, the 4 GB or RAM in my current laptop simply won’t cut it. My laptop’s RAM can be upgraded to a maximum of 8 GB, which the page says is the bare minimum requirement for operating both ZB and Keyshot at the same time, and recommends 16 GB for “comfortable usage”. I’m not sure if “minimum requirement” here means “runs okay at a slightly slower speed” or “leave your computer on until tomorrow”. I guess my question is, is 16 GB of RAM absolutely necessary? I’d hate to have to fork out the cash for a new workstation just for more RAM. If it means taking 10 minutes to render an 8 minute job, I can live with that. But it it takes more than twice the time on 8 GB, I might just have to pony up the cash for a new 16 GB RAM capable workstation. Thanks in advice for any advice.
