How do you wrap an alpha?

I am a very new zbrush user. Please can you tell me how to wrap an alpha so that the scales don’t get all skewed? Thank you in advance.

Hi mate. One option you can use is to UV your mesh, then paint an alpha of where you want your scales to be. You can then import the alpha into Zbrush and go to Masking > Mask by Alpha, the use Deformation > Inflate to push out the scales. (Haven’t used this technique in a while so I hope its the right way, I’ll check it later and update this if its incorrect.) :slight_smile:
