How do you select of of your Subtools and rotate them as one unit?

I have a tendency to work without a floor while I’m sculpting. this isn’t an issue until I find I need to do something like mirror Symmetry and I find all of my sub tools are not centered with the Global X Symmetry line. which results in a really bad Mirror. I want to recenter my entire set of subtools and rotate them upright.

Is there a way to do this? or Can I reset my XYZ axis? Is my understanding on how Mirror Symmetry works, wrong? Can I reset the symmetry line locally for an individual subtool?

I have all these books, I at times my head is not big enough to absorb and retain all I have to teach me :o

There are a couple of ways to do this:

  1. You can use the Tool>Deformation menu to Offset a single subtool, then press the ‘Repeat To Other’ button (at the bottom of the menu) to reeat the action to all subtools.

  2. You can use Transpose Master. Position the combined mesh how you want (for example, using Tool>Deformation>Unify) and then transfer the changes using the TPose>SubT button.

Thank you Marcus!

I will give both those options a try. There always seems to be 2 or 3 different ways to do the same thing in Zbrush. I find it awesome and baffling at the same time. I would imagine your coders and software engineers must pull their hair out on a daily basis, trying to remember all the options and balancing them so nothing breaks in a version release. I would personally be a Basket Case lol :p. How long do you guys keep an update in beta/alpha before it go’s live?
