How do you reset brush configurations?

Hi. First time poster here and I’m a novice to ZBrush. I’m currently following some tutorials via Pluralsight so I can hopefully get to grips with the software before starting university in September. I have a question though: how can you reset the brush preferences/settings under Initialize? I played around with them, but I can’t seem to put the settings back to default. I tried going to Brush > Reset All Brushes/Current Brush, but it hasn’t done anything. My 3D Helix brush is now has a ridiculous coverage.

Thanks.

Brush > “Reset Current Brush” or “Reset all Brushes”.

If that isn’t working, we need to know more about the brush you’re using, and what is happening that you dont want to happen. I’m not aware of a “3d Helix” brush in vanilla zbrush, so this is probably something you’ve created, or something that doesn’t fall under the purview of the brush controls.

It sounds to me like you’re talking about a Zbrush 3d primitive from the tool menu. These primitives always exist in their default form. As soon as you make a change to them with the initialize menu, you are working on a different instance of that primitive–you’ll notice the tool’s name becomes different. Find the original primitve in the tool menu for the default version.

Sorry, yes, it’s the 3D primitive. Under 3D meshes. Aha, an instance, huh. Okay, thanks for that. Looking in the menu again, I do see the original as well as the version I just created.
