I have a character that I built from the ground up in ZBrush as kind of an experiment…
the problem is, the ztool is pretty big… about 30mil polys with a total of 24 subtools. Every time I try to pose it with transpose master it crashes when bringing the tposemesh back. But even then, transpose master kind of sucks for this type of thing because the character is wearing a lot of hard-surface armor, and getting the masks for the transpose lines correct is extremely difficult.
I looked into zsphere rigging, but that will only work on one subtool at a time.
Soooooo… that leaves me with my old workflow of exporting everything out to maya, rigging it, then rendering it there. But I’m trying to stay in ZBrush for this project as much as possible. How do I go about posing a dense character like this? Or is he just going to be stuck in t-pose forever?
