How do you paint with a texture

I’m sure it’s fairly easy. I think I use to be able to do it. But it’s been a while since I’ve done it and I can’t seem to figure it out. I tried checking out some of the tutorials in the forum, but it seems like everyone I click on doesn’t work. There was a pdf for beginners, but it took me to a link where I couldn’t find any pdf file. I found one that showed you how to apply a texture to a person. I thought that would be good, but it tells me I that the file is only available by accessing through the proper means. (That isn’t exactly what it said. It’s as near as I can remember.)

I did get a couple of books on ZBrush and they have helped me a lot with the modeling. There’s one part in the book where they show you how to polypaint. They have you click on colorize and then disable UVs. Then they tell you to click on Color–>Fill Object. But I can’t find that anywhere. ON the color menu there is a Fill layer command.

If I hadn’t made it clear, what I wanted to do was paint across the surface and have a texture - like bricks - appear where I painted. I can paint but it’s like it’s taking one brick and smearing it across the surface instead of painting the texture.

Thanks.

Color>Fill Object is immediately to the left of Color>Fill Layer. That’s been true for every version of ZBrush that I can remember.

If you still can’t find it, could you please show a screen shot of your Color palette? Also, which version of ZBrush are you using? The full version number is in the title bar.

I see it now. It was greyed out (unavailable) when I looked for it. That’s why I missed it.

I’m using version 3.1

Thanks.
