How do you copy and paste in Zbrush?

I was trying to make a copy paste of a tool.

I would think this is a common action, however, I can’t seem to find how, nothing on google, documentation, other threads?? I was trying to make rope (Badking tutorial), got as far as masking, inflating and twisting them and make polymesh. When I tried to copy and paste and make 3 strands the Alt, Cntrl, Shift, left click, whatever didn’t behave as hoped. I am very confused with the whole action line thing frankly. Is there a dumb down explanation with pictures?

You need to be in Move mode. Draw out the Transpose line, then hold Ctrl and click+drag on the center white ring of the line. This will duplicate the mesh.

If the mesh is partially masked then this action will edgeloop and extrude the mesh.
