How do i shape a standard cube just by using the graph.

Hi everyone. im not sure if this was asked already. i saw on a video that you can change the shape of a standard primitive cube by just modifying the curvature on a graph… is this possible… and if so… a step by step guide would be greatly appreciated.

i have also added a screngrab just to make more sence of what im asking.

Hi Angelblade,

I think that’s the SweepProfile3D parametric ztool. Select it in the Tool palette and then adjust the settings under Tool>Initialize. If you draw the tool on the canvas and enter Edit mode you’ll see any changes you make. I guess the HDivide slider is set to 4 in your example, which gives the thing four sides. Check out my version of the ztl in the zip.

EDIT: You can add points to the profile curve by clicking. By default they will create a curve. To get straight lines connecting points, drag a point off the edge of the graph and back on (without releasing the mouse).
