How do I save quickpick and brush settings?

Hello,
Every time I start up Zbrush I have to spend at least five minutes or so getting all of my brushes into quick pick and setting them up the way I like (turning off lazymouse on the standard, turning off rgb on the smooth, lowering z intensity, that sort of thing).

Is there some kind of profile option or something where I can just set all of my brush settings and quick pick once and then when I next open up Zbrush it starts off as such?

Also, how do I set what brushes do and do not appear by default in the brush palette? It’s a slight hassle to have to go digging through lightbox every time.

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere but I didn’t know how to find it.

Thank you in advance.

You can save versions of the brushes you use so that they are set up the way you want. If you save them to the ZStartup/BrushPresets folder then they will be in the Brush palette pop-up each time ZBrush starts.

For a brush to be in the Quick Pick section it needs to have been selected. There’s no setting to put it there, and pressing the ‘R’ button towards the top of the Brush palette will reset the Quick Pick section. What you could do is record a macro that runs through the brushes you want to use. So long as they are already present in the Brush palette (using the method above) this should work well. You could even have the macro run on start up. See here: http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?79709-Setting-up-a-macro-to-run-on-startup

Thank you! I’ll give it a try.

Hmm, I just noticed that I can also make the startup macro set the brushes the way I want them set. Two orcs with one stone…

Well, thank you! That resolves that.
