How do I rotate parts of a tool on an world axis a specific degree?

I need to rotate both legs 10 degrees each on their respective sides on the world’s Y axis.

Is this feasible? I’ve been looking at videos and searching for 3 hours, it’s driving me crazy. I don’t understand anything about the ROTATION transform. It’s circles? They do what? Why is this so complicated?

:frowning:

After selecting the subtool, go to “Tool > Deformation”, and select the axis you want to use on the right side of the “Rotate” slider. Then click on the “Rotate” slider. A red number box will appear. Enter a number then press Enter on your keyboard. The number you enter is in degrees.

Sorry, I think I misunderstood your question.

See Posing to get a better grasp of the Action Line.

Wow, thanks!
How do I pick the rotation center?

I finally understand the action line, but I need the legs to be at 10 degrees exactly. I don’t see any option to let me chose any degree with that.

If you use the Rotate transform (action line), and you hold down Shift while rotating, it will snap to certain increments while rotating. The amount of increments it will snap to is set in “Preferences > Transpose” using the “Rotation Steps” slider and indicates the number of steps in 90 degrees. So, if you want to set it to 10 degree increments, you would set the slider to 9 (90 divided by 9 = 10).

Wow, I owe you. Thanks!
