I have a serious problem with my sculpts UVs as they seemed to have exploded?? but the cause seems to be a few areas I missed during the unwrapping process which caused Zbrush to auto place them but now I need to replace those UVs with the new ones I created but I cannot remember the process and my attempts at following similar problems on forums results in strange errors and the UVs are never changed so there must be something I’m missing so if anyone could explain the process for Zbrush 3.5 R3 I would greatly appreciate it.
Yea I tried what it sais in that forum but im not getting any succsess!
Import the new model (new UV’s) into the model of your old UV’s.
Not sure how you do this is that the import tab on the toolbar? the one directly under unified skin? if so then thats what im having trouble with as it imports another model that floats above the original and it inherits the botched UVs.
Load your new tool using the Load Tool from the top of the tool menu to overwrite your existing tool.

err that just loads a new tool it dosent do anything do i delete the uvs in the old tool then load the new one then press switch in the morph target tab?
Import it as an obj over your existing tool.
short demo here: Change UV Video (click to play or save to machine)

That’s what I was doing on my first attempt but for some reason the mount of points differed by a hundred or so and it wouldn’t let me perform the action but I managed to get the points the same, did exactly what was shown in the video but the uvs don’t change? I checked the uvs on my obj file and its uvs have thin triangles all over them so unless I missed some fasces during the unwrap check I don’t get what’s going wrong?
