there is a sort of hamhanded way you can do this:
make a clone of that phoenix.
put it on the lowest sub D level, then use the move topological, move parts and move topo elastic to get the edge flow back in line.
do this through all sub D levels if you like.
you will skew the forms and details to some degree (try and keep it as close to the original form as possible). however-
at that point, you can reproject the details from the original phoenix onto the newly “retopo’d” one.
when reprojecting- set the distance slider to a value that 1.656 (or close), then reproject from the lowest sub D level and go up through each level.
i’ve done this a few times with really pretty decent results.
it kinda ends up being a down and dirty retopo in 10 minutes.
