How do i export a normal map in 3.5?

How do i export a normal map in 3.5 since goZ is not out yet?

I don’t have 3.5 but assuming its the same as 3.2 on the Mac. In the normal map palette, press the Clone NM button. This will transfer your normal map to the Texture palette where you can select to export it. You may need to flip vertical (Texture Menu) to make it work correctly.

The normalmaps I export from zbrush 3.5 doesn’t work properly back in maya, I guess some of the settings are wrong in zbrush. In 3.1 I did all my normalmaps with the zmapper, whitch worked out fine. Any ideas on how to export normalmaps correctly agen?

I agree with you about Zmapper…i almost never used the Normal Map button in ZB… I’m looking for the plugin…

anyone get decent normal maps out of the tool palette?
The displacements are looking great but my normal maps are quite washed out without zmapper.

Maybe the answer is to add some HD geometry details. Or use noise.
But my model is pretty well detailed already-I just want the surface detailing.

I’ve tried all the normal map settings…
