How do I edit after saving? Stupid Question...can't solve

Ok I am rather new to zbrush and I already am amazed by its power.

I just opened up the program today…messed around a bit…I had to step away for a a couple hours so i saved my project. NOT AS A TOOL…but as “test.ZBR”

When i went to open the project again later…I could not edit the model…the EDIT option won’t even light up when i click on it

This is really depressing cause i wasn’t done messing around with my test figure.

Here is a screen shot

SOME ONE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me! I need to know how I can get back to editing the mesh.

the screen shot below has a red circle in the right corner that shows what won’t light up when i try clicking on it.

Additional IDK how to tell zbrush what object I wanna select. Is there some kinda selection tool?

Sorry for this, but the short answer is that you cant. To retain a model as a sculpt you can edit, it has to be saved as a tool. If you just save the document then it gets dropped to the canvas and cannot be edited again.

whats the point in even saving it as a regular document then. I never heard of such a thing. no wonder why i could not find out how to do it.

KKAAAAAAHHHHNNNNN!!!

You save your document when you’re working on a scene. You save your tool when you’re working on a model.

And if you read the ZBC FAQ, you’ll find that there are a lot of questions that you won’t have to wait for someone to answer. Including this one!
