How do I clear up my tools palette without losing my personalized config?

In going about making a personalized menu palette for 2.5D brushes that I can access via a shortcut key combo, I discovered I had to load each into the tools palette in order to get them in a form that could be alt ctl-dragged into the new palette. When done I created a config file and stored it as my default start up in order to save the new menu.

Now ZB starts with the tool folder filled with the 2D brushes as actively selected tools, which I did NOT want. Pressing the little “R” temporarily condenses the area, but doesn’t remove the 2d brushes from the set of active tools.

Is there anyway I can set just that part to be the default set up without losing all my other configured interfaces thingies? I can’t see any other way of making this particular palette and storing it, while at the same time “clearing the deck” of the tool palette.

Ferris Bueller called me with the answer :stuck_out_tongue: .

For anyone curious, I had to click the little “r” button TWICE to rid myself of the bloated current tool section.

Edited because I added something reallly reallly stupid…I now realize I can reset the config now that I can remove the offending stuffs.

Ok I edited too soon. drat. Saving the config after pressing r x 2 doesn’t work. And as soon as I select a tool the whole thing repopulates with the 2D tools again. Also there’s a button for hiding the 2d tools but it seems to not be working.

Is this a bug? or a series of them? Anyone know? Anyone? Anyone? (Bueller, please return my urgent messages).
