How do I change the place where Zbrush compacts?

Hallo, everybody.
I work with Zbrush 3.1 and I noticed that Z brush compacts memory into “vmem” folder in its startup directory ( which is C:\Program Files\Pixologic\ZBrush3 in my case). I want to ask someone if there’s any possibility to change the location of compacting? I don’t think it’s good when the application leaves some temporary data on C. In “Adobe” products like Photoshop you can choose the scratch disks in Preferencies dialog box. Is something like this possible in Z brush too?

Thank you for answers.

ZBrush is optimized for using its own virtual memory file in the ZBrush folder. This cannot currently be changed.

Thank you for answer aurick. Well, if this forum serves for Pixologick’s developpers team as a user reference, so maybe I’d like to ask them whether it would be better to let user change default Zbrush’s scrath disc. It’s not very good when an application leaves temporary data on a drive where is your operating system and all other programs. You have to defragment your disc drive all the time then (especially when Z Brush crashes).

At the end of your session, ZBrush deletes those files.

If they don’t get deleted for some reason, you can delete them yourself. Simply empty the ZBrush3\vmem folder.

Regarding future development, the dev team is aware of the request to be able to specify where ZBrush places its virtual memory. Whether that will be implemented or not depends a lot on how doing so would affect performance. I can’t say either way.
