How can I scale a subtool?

Hi Guys,

I’ve recently started using Zbrush and I can say that I am really impressed by the results I get from it. Unfortunatley I stumbled against a frustrating problem:
I just modelled some lips on a surface and I want to combine them with another body I modelled in Solid Works (This part has been exported as a OBJ)
Now I managed to put both parts on the same window, by using the subtool feature. Now my problem is the follows: The part I exported as an obj, is significcantly bigger than it should be and I need to scale it down, but ZBrush won’t let me. Is there a way of scaling parts down when they are in the subtool feature?

Any suggestions?

thank you

Since you’re new to the program you should hit up Pixologic’s site and watch the free introduction videos they have on there.

You scale a tool using Transpose. In regard to the question in your other post, you combine subtools with the Subtool Master plug-in.

Thank you very much for posting a reply so quickly, I will try out what you have suggested in the next 10 minutes. I will let you know how it went.

Thank you again

Thank you sooo much for posting this reply to me in such short notice. I’ve managed to get bothe parts together and scale them down to the right size. Unfortunatley I couldn’t combine them together because the body modelled in Solid Works has a very odd mesh and by the time I lowered the resolution, it basically ‘‘exploded’’…I renderen the image in photoshop and removed all the unwanted lines. In the end I got what I needed…

Thank you again for the tips
