Trying to open some older projects in 4R7 but either crashes ZB or comes in completely exploded (seems like anything created before 2009). Any ideas about how to access these older files?
I also wish it wouldn’t happen. 
yeah… I’m actually a bit desperate to recover some of my older models. Wondering if reinstalling an older version of ZB would do the trick. Hoping for some official feedback.
thx --E–, I did install 4.O & was able to resave & they now work in 4R7 P3. Have only 4 files left (from 2006 & 2007) that still won’t open. Tried installing 3.5 but ZB will not activate license saying it’s no longer supported… Ack! Any chance there’s a work around?
hmmm, the models I was trying to recover were from around 2006/2007 so I would think it would work. Only other thing I can think of is to try opening them in 4r6 and see if that helps.
Do you get the same crash/exploding mesh issue on those last files that won’t open as you had on the ones that you were able to recover?
My guess is that those last few tools of yours that won’t open are actually corrupted. 
yeah, same crash/explode… I’m assuming corrupted too. Was hopeful given that the others behaved the same way but ended up being okay. Will archive & keep fingers crossed for legacy fix in the future
