Hi guys;
I’m new to Zbrush, and here is my basic first question:
- How can I select and move a point exactly along an axis,straightly ( for say in Y axis)?
I tried “Move” tool, without success.!
Thanks.

Hello, welcome to ZBC!
For an axis constraint, try disabling Transform: Modifiers: Xyz, and then setting it to just the axis that you want (such as Y). This should constrain the move brush to move only in that direction.

If your mesh is such that you can easily mask the single point, perhaps by clipping it with the corner of a masking marquee at the correct angle, or brushing the mask on when zoomed in with a small radius brush, you can then Ctrl-click in empty canvas space to invert that mask.
Now everything is masked but that point, and you can use Gizmo to move it along any axis at will with superior visual feedback without switching on/off any modifiers. Two Gizmo functions to be aware of with this are “Go to unmasked mesh center”, and “Reset Mesh Orientation–alt to unlock”. The first is self explanatory, the second will reset the manipulator orientation to the worldspace axes, which may be necessary in some situations. Be sure to unlock the manipulator first to re-position it without changing the mesh position, then re-lock.
