How can I bending Cylinder pipe?

Hello, I’m just wondering how can I bend Cylinder pipe without collapsing its diameter?

Here’s the front and side views of the pipe I want to bend.

and I want to bend like this.

If anyone can help me please share how you do this kind of bending.
Also, any other tips, good references or video for this kind of action will be great.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Kazufumi,

Did you try to drag a Move transpose line along the direction of where you want the bend to be (the vertical direction in your screenshots), then Alt + dragging the middle circle in the direction you want to bend?

You can influence the bend by making the Move transpose line longer or shorter, by adjusting the Focal Shift value of the brush, and by adjusting the brush curve.

Good luck,

Metin

Hi Metin,

Thanks a lot for your nice tips!

I just tried and I can get good result.
Maybe I need more sub-div for more smooth result, but I think it works. Thanks!

You’re welcome, Kazufumi. Glad I could help you out.

More segments in the center would indeed help for a smooth bend.

All the best,

Metin
