The first time I read the Iliad and the Odyssey I was surprised by its power,
when I saw this sculpt of Homer at the Museo Archeologico di Napoli.
how could you so masterfully achieve blindness in a marble stone? how could you get this sense of rapture?..
I scan the portrait with photogrammetry, process with reality capture (after two major crashes of my computer)
ending with a model of 2 million polys.
