Hollowing out specific shapes

so for 3D printing I need to hollow out specific shapes (so I can’t use create shell) but the only way I can dynamesh>sub is if there is an exit hole, and I don’t want a hole in my print. Any solutions of suggestions would be much appreciated, thanks!

I don’t know for sure, but my guess is that ZBrush is not laid out for work like this.
I have worked with models for printing myself and would use another 3D-toolkit for that task.

Most printing software brings an automated approach for hollowing a model, but I guess you are aware of that - I do not know, but maybe the also offer a way to selectively hollow out specific parts?

Depending on your model, you might be able to use Extract… Turn off Double, and use a negative value for thickness.
