What are you doing the holes in?
I usualy do the holes in maya. If i decided later on a character that he needs holes in his hands that you can see through. i would just export lowest mesh , do the hole then reproject the old high onto the new base with the hole. Just hide the hole area when you reproject the modell. if you cant see trhough just use masking and inflat. thats what i would have done. to keep the hole shape just use grouping and creasing, that usualy work.
Hope any of this rant would help.
Yes, Belltan Thank you for your help, I get it.
To be more specific : I’d like to “wipe”, take out some “polygons” from a shape.
I know I can go back to the low poly into Maya or modo or any 3D App, make this task, then come back into ZB but it should be more confortable (if it is) to stay into ZBrush to do the job.
I’m afraid to loose all the tweaking I would have done in the meantime with ZB
Instead I don’t know the way to do it into ZBrush
I tried to slip them as a new subtool and delete the subtool then but there should be an easier way.
I hope I’m clear enough (not sure myself)
If you are carefull when you recapture, you shouldnt loose any tweaks at all. Well i dont know how to fix holes just in zbrush but ill keep my eyes open and hollar if i find anything.
Sorry guys and thanks for the help.
I’m using ZBrush 3.12 OSX
Once again I’ve been fooled by the ZBrush OSX’s bug about some buttons in the Geometry window that grayed out if there is no Subtool (Delhidden and Edgeloop).
With a subtool everything is fine (errrr) and works.
So I figure out my problem by hiding the polygon I don’t need and “delhiddening” them.
