High resolution second Monitor to view small objects at actual size

I would like some suggestions on if this would work and what hardware would be needed to have a second high resolution monitor to view objects sculpted in Zbrush that are a few inches big at full scale ( so the monitor itself could be small). The point being to be able to get a sense of the details at actual size I think a higher resolution would be good if possible to set up. wondering what monitor and hardware would be a good choice

Thanks

Well, your video card would need to support more than one monitor and the monitor would need to support a high resolution. But I can’t help thinking that you would be spending money needlessly. Simply being able to view a model at actual size would not give a good idea of how much detail there would be in a 3D print (assuming that’s what you have in mind) because different printers have different capabilities.

I wouldnt want this to see 3d print quality on the monitor, its about visualization of a small object. When working on a model that is lets say 2" square it is always zoomed in on the screen and to get a sense of it at actual size you zoom it down and a high res display would give you more resolution for this. For me a small monitor like an Ipad mini would work, so I was wondering about specific hardware suggestions to accomplish this. It looks like most of the new super high res monitors are large like 28". So unles I can hook up some hige res tablet as a second monitor at hig res, The best thing maybe just a lap top with a high res display running Zbrush.

Thanks

Well you can get software for hooking up an iPad, so presumably all you would need is a retina screen version. Here’s an example:

Thanks for that suggestion unfortunately that hook up doesn’t support high res.
