I feel dumb for asking this but. Has the ability to hide faces the old Z2 way gone? You know with the red rectangle thingy. All I get is a pale gray one that seems to do absolutly nothing.
Ctrl+Shift and click/drag to hide outside, let go of shift while selecting to hide inside selected area
Ha I just realised what i was doing. After all this time of using Z2 I used to let go of Shift & Ctrl to bring up the red selection box. But in Z3 i have to let go of shift and hold down ctrl.
Did anyone else get caught out by that or am I just a dumbass?
I am new to Zbrush 2 and 3 and I can’t figure out how to release the hide. I have a small part left and I have revealed everything but a small section. I can go back and forth between the two, but I can’t release all of it so that nothing is hidden. Can anyone help. I know this is simple, but I can’t figure it out. Thanks.
Shift-Ctrl click on an empty portion of the canvas in edit mode.
If you switch on Lasso selection in the Transform palette you will see that there is a handy new feature. Hold down Ctrl+Shift and draw a lasso selection on your model. When you’ve done, release Ctrl+Shift together and your selection is converted to a Stencil. Press Alt+H to switch off the stencil.
Marcus, that is a cool find!

Pencil-head,
It would appear we both have the same dumb gene.
