Hide seams for merged subtools

Hi,

I am currently creating a rabbit with clothes, justmerges the head and the body. The problem I have is the seams here between head and body:

How could Iget rid of those?

Kind regards,

Jay

Merging subtools does not create new geometry. Looking at your model I would think the jumper creates a natural seam that you don’t need to hide. However if you want to get rid of seams then you would need to create new topology. A rough workflow would be:

  1. Merge the subtools (as you’ve done).
  2. Clone the model, so you keep a copy of the original).
  3. DynaMesh the clone. This will create a single volume of your model. You will probably need to experiment with settings to get a good result.
  4. Use Decimation Master to reduce the polycount without losing detail. This is just to speed up the next step.
  5. Use ZRemesher to create good low res topology.
  6. Subdivide until there’s enough resolution to hold the detail from the original sculpt.
  7. Append the original model as the source mesh for using ProjectAll to transfer the detail.

Ah great, thanks for this advice. These are steps I have to do anyway when creating my lowres version, good to know.
