Hide points with masking then delete them.

Is it still possible in ZBrush 3.5 to hide points with masking then to delete those hidden points? I may be missing something but I cannot seem to find that feature.

Thanks for any help.

  • Mask your model.
  • Press Tool > Visibility > HidePt (hide unmasked).
  • Go to subdivision level 1.
  • Press Tool > Geometry > DelHidden.

But be aware of the smoothing that is applied to the remaining geometry. To prevent the smoothing you will need to add a couple more steps (*).

  • Mask your model.
  • Press Tool > Visibility > HidePt (hide unmasked).
*- Go to the highest subdivision level
*- Mask the currently visible polygons, Ctrl + A.
  • Go to subdivision level 1.
  • Press Tool > Geometry > DelHidden.

Thanks TVeyes, I was looking for it in it’s old location under masking. :+1: :+1: :+1:
