hidden line when using retopo tool?

Hi All,

I am just using the retopology tool for the first time and wondered if there any display options for the retopo mesh. After a while, when your retopo mesh gets more detailed, its hard to see whats happening in the viewport as you can see all the verts from the back facing side of the model. It gets really hard to select the right vert after a while.

Is there a hidden line option so you only see the verts facing you?

Cheers,

Simon

Also I’m having an issue with verts not resting on the reference models surface. I’m getting a lot of verts which are sitting above and below the surface.

It seems that they move off the surface if I use the move tool on them?? I thought the idea of the reference mesh was that the verts stick to the surface?

Am I doing something wrong?

One other thing…is there a way of getting my verts to snap to 0 on x? The mirror function is cool but I’m finding that the mirrored verts and edges clutter the viewport making it difficult to slect stuff. So I prefer to mirror after I am done.

Thanks in advance!
