Henry Lee

Hey boys and girls!

This is my first post here on Zbc, been lurking a long while, i decided to post my latest work that i’ve done with zbrush. This is also my first “finally completed” head model that i’ve done

After watching Carnivale on Dvd i’ve decided to go for the same kinda finish/look on the image, to make the character fit-in the same universe.
I started on the model back in january but haven’t had the time to complete the model until now.
I also had a hard time choosing whats the “final” so i included some wip images at the bottom.

Basemesh done i max, detailing and fun i Zb, render in max/mr and post in fusion, basemesh is about 1400 polys and fullrender with displacement is about 2 mill. The head is also rigged, but i haven’t had the time to animate it.

Thanks for looking

Wow…this is a great first post…Top row material for certain… can you show me more of your workflow?
:+1: :+1:

yeah, really good, but eyes look a little bit over-reflecting, though. other than that, top row :+1:

5 star Top Row work for sure. The only crit I could say is that reflection on the eyes is a bit glass-like. Great job nontheless. :+1:

Thanks guys, i’ve got some second thoughts about the reflections aswell, i’ll take it into consideration when doing my next head  Just glad to be finished with it now

SolidSnakexxx, i used max for basemeshmodeling, rendering and rig, zbrush and photoshop for the rest. Didn’t have anyspecial setup, just the fast sss shader in mental ray and a threepoint lighting, rendertime were about 5/6 minutes a frame in HD. (1280*720p) And the hair was done with the Shave and a haircut native to max now
Let me know if there’s anything more you’d like to know

thanks

BOOM is off to an explosive start
excellent job man!
i am amazed by the fact that this is just 3 point lighting…
You just made me realise a couple of things that i do wrong with my WIP…thanks

and again…congratulations *****

Hey Theo

This is a friggin great image man. Really has alot of emotion, and love your colour pallette. Wonderful work in all areas of production. This should definitely be frontpage.

Erik

Hey Erik, thanks

I’ve uploaded some more images, if anyone’s still interested. I also liked the black/white version, but perhaps the eyes were abit to reflective aswell.
The texture is before i de-symmetrized it
