Henry Cavill

This is my first attempt to recreate person`s likeness. Sculpting Henry Cavill was really challenging and interesting.
Sculpted and modeled in Zbrush and Maya, XGen was used for hair, textured in Mari and Photoshop, cloth simulation in Marvelous Designer, rendered in Arnold.

Overall you did a great character. But personally I don’t think you nail the likeness. I see some likeness but I really need to look at him hard for it. Basically, if you look at a model in grey shade mode and you don’t see likeness then it’s not even good to go to the next step.

But Im sure it was a great practice for all the steps you did.

Well, I think it’s almost there, you can recognize it is him at the glance. Sculpt is good. Texture and lighting need a bit more work in my opinion.

Can you share a front and side view? I haver some photoshoot reference from Man of Steel I could help you with

I’m planning to revisit this character at some point in future, because really likeness is halfway there and there are a lot of areas I’m not happy with. Main purpose of this project was to go through entire workflow of portraiture creation and see how stages of this process contribute to final result. And thanks for the feedback and tips :wink:
