Helspont Wip

I at work i recently had the same problem. there is an issue with maya and joint rotation when imported intp zb. most likely a scale issue. so i suggest u use cluster waits to pose the characters problem areas in order to avoid this. it rarely happens but it is a bummer when it does. i always export a displacement map mask out the good areas and reaply the map just in case to avoid reposing or sculpting. then again the second time u sculpt something it comes out better anyway. hope this helps

Wawaweewa  very nice. Great model I really love it  that’s all

Wow! Dude, I’ve not thought about Hellspont (or the WildC.A.T.S.) in ages. This is a great rendition of him. Almost as if Travis Charest took a stab at 3D Modeling! Keep it coming.

5 stars from me

is that the michelangelo’s David?
the pose reminds me the statue, or some other classic statues.

I have been useing the david as pose ref loosely though

Cool!

Great stuff!

Your work is indeed impressive, I hope you are able to secure a job in this field as I would expect your skills to only grow and become more versitile. The only thing I would add realy has nothing to do with your modeling, but your website. When entering your site your apparently using something that displays active content or something utalizing active X controls, microsoft updated how this content was to be viewd and handled awhile back. As a flash designer I had to go and do some research as to the options that are available out there to get around having to first click the active content to see it and then yet another click to use it, it can be somewhat frustrating and on the other hand it could also make your site seem un professional in others eyes.

I could be wrong as to the cure to your main.html opening pages issue but if your looking to seek out the information heres a starting point to the active content work around:

My work around for the flash side of things was fairly easy to impliment but could be completely different than what you’ll have to do utalizing HTML, but give the material a look see to see if that leads you in the right direction. Peace!

Damn, that’s some amazing work! And you picked one of the most difficult Wildstorm characters too! Like other’s, I hadnt thought about those in eons, but you made me want to go back in there and do Zealot or Voodoo! Damn, there’s Cyberforce too!

Anyways, great work! Keep posting, or else!

PS: Crap, what have you done?! It’s all coming back to me now: Team 7, Stormwatch, Wetworks… its endless, terribly cool scultping choices!!!

 This is looking amazing, can’t wait to see it complete!

freaking amazing!!
looks awesome! keep posting :)
the only comment would go onto the skull…i’m saying that cause you seem to start all the high detail in proj master, but i think you should give more definithing to the skull itself first (teeths junction more define etc…) as it shows a difference in dertails with the rest …just my 2 cents lol
appart from that, looks great!

Hey man, looking good. Can’t wait to see finished product. I would soften the forearms a bit between the flexors and extensors… I know he’s a comic book character, but feels really sharp to me…
Keep up the great work.

beautiful…just beautiful work. I can’t wait to see the final model. Blue flames on his head will rock! cbostjan thank you for sharing your process. it helps guys like me that are just starting out see how to put a model together. please keep going on this one!
