Help Zremeshing

Hello,
I’ve watched a tutorial video on how to use Zremsher, and I’ve run into a few issues.

I’ve imported an obj that I started in Sculptris, which means my model is full of triangles - I don’t know if that matters or not…

I want to use symmetry, but when I turn it on and run the Zremesh, my result looks like an inverted model. The only way it runs successfully is when the symmetry is turned off. However, when it’s turned off, my model ends up with slightly lopsided flow.

Additionally - I’m trying to do this while using the polypaint function (I want to keep detail in the face of my model). Are there any specific settings I need to be looking out for?

if your mesh is flipped inside out you can fix that with tool.display properties.flip

Do you have a screenshot?

For Zremesher I recommend doing the remesh on a copy of the original. Then I’ll project the detail and color back into the new topology model.
