Help with tiling alpha

Hi,

I am trying to uniformly tile an alpha over the surface of my sculpt. I basically want the character to have a chainmail bodysuit. I’ve masked off the necessary portions, but I can’t get the alpha to tile evenly across the entire sculpt. I tried using the alpha with DragRect on, but it is almost impossible to get it tiled seamlessly, and there is a lot of stretching (which I obviously don’t want).
Can someone please tell me the best way to achieve my desired effect?

Any help is MUCH appreciated!

Add the Alpha to Noisemaker and have it use the UVs of the mesh.

Thanks for this. It applies the alpha evenly, but I am still getting the problem with the stretching. I have my UVs unwrapped, but the Noisemaker seems to be ignoring the UVs and simply projecting the tiled alpha along the z axis.

To clarify, these are the steps I took (please tell me if I am missing a step or something):
-GoZ to Maya
-Cut borders
-GoZ back to Zbrush
-UVUnwrap plugin (with “use existing seams selected”)
-Flatten and adjust UVs on a clone
-Copy UVs from clone to original
-Open Noisemaker
-Hit the little circle in the bottom corner and load alpha

I tried it on other models as well to see if it was a problem with my soldier sculpt, but the same thing happened with the rest. Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Scratch that. I didn’t trun on UV mode in the Noisemaker. Thanks for the help!
