HELP with movie output settings.

I’m putting together a reel and need some help on the output settings. I am doing turntable moves in ZB, and will cut and edit in windows movie maker. The goal is to have a decent high quality file for web site and also something I can zip and email. I’ve done a lot of testing but not really sure what to set everything at.

What record frame rate to use?

What playback frame rate to use?

Is MPEG-4 a good compression type to use?

What is the (limit data rate to) setting do?

Is there a way to get rid of the Zbrush logo I tried all the settings and it wont go away?

The recording frame rate is for timelapses. I don’t believe that has an impact on a turntable. But I could be wrong. Anyway…i have my set to 20

Playback frame rate is for timelapses as well I believe. Again, could be wrong. 24 is my setting.

mpeg-4 is good depending on what you want to do with it. If you’re taking things into movie maker or any other video editing software you don’t really want to compress it at all. If you do want to compress something I use H.264 it has a great compression codec and is fairly lossless.

Limiting the data rate is like clipping on an audio file. If the bitrate goes up too high (having the whole document filled with the mesh) and it goes over that limit then it will compress the image more for those parts. Basically it’s a cap saying that every second the video won’t get over x Kb.

movie>overlay image>opacity>0 will get rid of the watermark.
you will probably want to remove the intro and outro images as well.
movie>title image> fade in and fade out to 0.

Hope that helps.
