I want to sculpt a full game model. Any ideas on how I’d do the helmet? I want to make a football player ie Madden. I’d guess I can use cylinders and modifiers to get the bend of the mask??

Well, first of all are you doing this all in zbrush or in combination with another 3d modeling application like maya/max? If you are using only zbrush you will probably want to familiarize yourself with zspheres, mesh extraction, and retopology.
If it is going to be all in zbrush, i would start with a sphere for the helmet. Use the move or standard brush to push in from bottom of the mesh to form the cavity of the helmet and then use the move brush to shape the helmet.
As for the facemask area, there are a lot of ways you could approach it. You could mesh extraction on a plane. Just mask out the shape as if it was laid out flat on the plane. Then under the subtool menu adjust the thickness and press extract(repeat until you get close to the thickness you want). Then just use the move brush to shape it to the helmet and sculpt it to your liking.
After everything is done you can use retopology to fix the polygon flow and project your details onto the new mesh.
Alternatively you could also use retopology on a sphere/cylinder to model the facemask.
Nice yes thank you! I want to do it all 100% in Zbrush. The body I feel is pretty straight forward but the whole mask thing is throwing me as to how to go about it. I think I’m going to have to try your first thought and just extract what I need from a plane. I’ll use UVMaster and export to Max for get the lower resolution but yea…aaaaaallll 100% through ZBrush is my goal 
I’ll try and update this when I get home and start working on it tonight or some time this weekend so you can all tell me where I’m going wrong haha… after all critique is the best way to get better!
I spent about 2 hours here tonight and this is where I am at. I found a Male starter sculpt and built the paddings and clothing from there. It definitely looks like a football player! I am having problems with the belt area but perhaps once I actually get the belt in then it wont look so weird? What you all think?
