Help with changing hi-res dynamesh into low-res with projected details

Hi, i am working with that sculpt:

This is WIP question and I am still working on that mesh but i don`t know what should I do next to animate that mesh in Modo.

This is high res dynamesh with multiple subtools (with polypaint and materials). This sculpt is not finish but i have problem with idea how to change it to low-res sculpt with many subd levels with polypaint of course. I would like also to get projected materials into that low-res mesh. When I will have low res mesh I will do UV but now I should change high res multple subtools with dynamesh into few or one low res mesh with projected details, paint and materials. I know that I may do it or with one merged mesh or with cutted mesh into smaller pieces for better projection.

I tried in few ways to do that in that level of mesh production to try methods.

  1. i tried merge it into one mesh, remesh it into low res and project details. It works but there is to many spikes (mesh errors)
  2. i tried merge it into one mesh, remesh it into low res and project details with Zproject brush and morph brush. Result was almost same. There are too many mesh errors.

I have read in web that it should help cut mesh into smaler pieces. Now i have subtools like: naked body, pants, shoes, shirt etc. Is that means that i shoul cut it out in different way. Like: hands (without elbows), shirt with closed big holes for hands, chest with head, pants with closed holes for legs, short pieces of naked legs, shoes with closed holes for feet.

It should project simplier but i have theoretic problem with that. I would like to animate that mesh in Modo (but it may be any 3d software for animating bones) and i am curious are that bones would destroy my cutted pieces? for exaple if i bend whole hand i am affraid that it will be look like few different meshes in motion - not like onepiece of mesh. I am affraid it won`t be seamless.

I know that is possible to do in way: every subtool is projected alone, but I think it should cost to many polygons and I dont see reason why I should project elbow if shirt is above skin. Its waste of polygons and UV space. I think that I should it project as a one merged mesh (one poly group) or as a few cutted pieces (change polypaint into poly groups, split it and close holes to get small pieces of body).

Could anybody help me with that?
