Help with bad topology and uv master that doesn't work

Hi! I am pretty new to Zbrush, and I’ve been having some issues with both my topology and the UV master.
I have created clothing from a model extract and then some shoes and a belt from . To prep my model for the uvmaster I zremeshed it with these settings: Screenshot (168) To get a new and even topology and after that I went to the Uvmaster> work on clone., and then unwraped the model.

The model is all the subtools merged into one (the cloth, shoes, belt etc)

What happens is it won’t stop loading, I have tried to wait it out but it took over 6 hours and then nothing had happened (there were no UV:s at all afterwards)

So I tried to unwrap the subtools one by one instead which seemed to work sometimes but not other times., that was when I noticed how weird the unflattened Uvs became.
This is the cloth I made and the flattened Uvs to show you what it looks like:

Why does the Uvs look so weird? I have zremeshed the cloth so it should be an even topology. I am very confused.

I have also tried Uv master > enable control painting. To make the Uvs better but no luck.
Aswell as mesh integrity > check mesh integrity (it showed no faults).
I have tried to uvmaster with polygroups and without polygroups, it doesn’t seem to make a difference with my problems.

How can I fix the topology of my models so as to not have this problem in the future?
And what can I do to fix the Uv master so it works properly?

Very thankful for anwers!
(sorry, english isn’t my native language)

Hello @Louise,

That is pretty weird looking! I can’t immediately say what your exact problem is here, but off the top of my head I would guess that there may either be something problematic with the geometry itself, or your settings for UV master may be too complex and UV master doesn’t know what to do with them.

If you’d like, we can take a look at the file to examine your mesh more closely. Please go to Pixologic Support, and start a conversation there.

Thank you!

Thank you! I will do that.
