Help with 3 annoying bugs i think?

Hi first of all i have some anoying things going on

  1. After a while, my brush (Zadd) and sometimes (Zsub) feature will hang.I mean even if i switch with the hotkey ALT it stays in Zadd mode,I then have to manually change in the top menu.It works again after i restart zbrush.
    This is annoying and I can’t figure out what’s wrong!

2.I have set the doc size to 874/862 and in the Lightpox option under preferences, I unchecked Open at Launch.I Shift+Ctrl+I to save the master config.However, still it will open in half that size and with Lightbox at startup.When i push the button Init Zbrush it works.However, do i have to Init zbrush always?I mean I changed the master config file, but it doesn’t open with the settings I changed.

3.After a while, my Mesh disappears from the canvas if i rotate,zoom or pan.
It happens always after a while in higher subdev…

Why?
Im running Windows 7 x64 pro

1) Have you installed any plugins or other startup content? What happens if you disable those items at launch? (This is done by double-clicking to launch ZBrush then immediately holding Shift until the launch completes.) If the problem goes away you’ll know that one of your startup items is to blame and can start narrowing the search.

  1. LightBox will always be there at launch. The disable option does not currently save. Still, it’s awfully easy to press the LightBox button after launching ZBrush to hide it. And you can even hotkey it. As for your canvas size, that is saved with your Startup Document. http://www.pixologic.com/docs/index.php/Startup_Document

Well its a fresh install without any extras at all.

#3 try turning off Right Click Navigation if you’re not using it. Preferences>Interface>RightClick Navigation then make sure to save your config.

#2. re: Lightbox open at startup.

You can add the following line to your DefaultZScript.txt file which will close Lightbox automatically at startup.

[If,1,[IPress,Preferences:Lightbox:Lightbox]]

But the most anoying thing is left though :frowning:

Ill try to explain it better.

When i sculpt in higher subdev and add geometry,if i switch between zadd and zsub it sometimes stuck in zadd mode even when i try to swich with the ALT key,i can see the minus sign on the brush but it still adds geometry!

I have to manually push the Zadd or ZSub to force zbrush to understand that i want to use Zsub if its stuck in zadd mode.I have read somewhere about sticky keys but as far as i know its in windows and not Zbrush?I have checked the keyboard options but it looks good,Nothing unusual in there i think?

the ALT key function stops working

EDIT
May this issue be related to “auto Select subtool” ?
I have turned off auto select subtool ,I have read somewhere it may affect other tools that uses ALT?

Instead of starting a new tread

Can i reset the startdocument ?It still dont load my master settings at start.
I have to Init Zbrush to get my settings i saved!

Also still the ALT key function stops working after some time and get stucked in any of the modes Xadd or Xsub
