the model explodes. I’m making UVs in maya. Even with cube or simple plane it will explode.
When importing a model into level 1 of another model it must have the exact same point count and order of the current level 1 mesh. If it doesn’t, then everything will scramble as soon as you go up in levels.
It sounds like what’s happening to you is that the point order is changing. Are you exporting from ZBrush into Maya to do the UV’s, then importing back into ZBrush again? If so, the most likely culprit is that you’re leaving “Create Multiple Objects” set to “True” in Maya’s import options. That will change the point order every time.
