Help w/ Morph targets

I have a head that I started to sculpt on but in the middle of working on it I noticed that I have to change some of the geometry. So I went into Maya and did some adjustments but when I import it into Zbrush it loses it’s detail at the higher divisions. So I was think to use my old head as a morph target to my new head to get the detail back as a work around.

Is this a good way to get the detail back? Is there an easier way? Not able to get the morph target to work when using subtools e.g. old head on subtool 1 and the new head on subtool 2. Is there a tutorial you can point me to in regards to working with morph targets?
