Help trying to build a good rig for zbrush

Hey sorry if this has been asked somewhere, I looked around and couldn’t find any topic that was similar.

I am building a new computer rig as my old one has become quite outdated. I was wondering if anyone here was knowledgeable on the subject and could point me in the right direction for a rig that can make the most out of zbrush. I really want to get more subdivision levels in my sculpts, so I was wondering what parts specifically I need to look at to make that possible. Do I need more ram or a faster processor or what?

Any advice would be very helpful. Thanks!

Here are a couple of suggestions, and remember that ZBrush is all CPU, Memory and HDD. ZBrush doesn’t really use video cards.

CPU - http://www.computershopper.com/components/reviews/intel-core-i7-3770k

Mobo - https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/SABERTOOTH_Z77/#overview

Memory and HDD? There is a lot to choose from.

This stuff is a little older but you will probably get it for a good price.

If price is no problem then there is faster stuff like 4th generation i7

Mobo - https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/SABERTOOTH_Z87/

Don’t forget that the new version of Zbrush should be x64 so getting some extra RAM and a Mobo that supports it probably wouldn’t be a bad idea either. SSD > HDD … granted, that is in both price and speed.
