Help! I’m having substantial issues with retopology (edit topology via ZSphere method). Working on a Win7 64 bit box with 12GB of RAM, plenty to spare, and ZBrush 4R2b is crashing randomly. It only happens when I click on something, only with Edit Topology enabled, and it’s not like every few seconds or anything, but it’s happened about 5 or 6 times today, and so it’s taking me TWICE as long as it should to create this new topology because of it. Any ideas? Is this a common problem? It’s extremely frustrating!!!

same problem here. did’nt find a solution but luckily my progress was saved in the recovered files folder everytime.

I’m glad I’m not alone. Well, one time it had the recovered file available, all other times it did not. I was SOL. So, in the meantime, I’m saving REALLY frequently, and backing up each stage as individual files. Can’t think of any other way to ensure that my work is preserved in case of a crash. If this gets to be too much hassle, I might write myself a little app to auto-backup every time I save so I won’t have my workflow interrupted.
