Help request: making an epic water scene

My editor has asked for a seen of water coming to life, so I need giant waves curling up, and a figure of water emerging from those waves.

I haven’t got a clue where to start with such materials, or even the process.

Could anyone give me some tips here? otherwise it’s back to photoshopping a load of images and that won’t give me what i want.

thanks in advance

I think you can make the water from which the main figure emerges in z brush, but i think you will need a lot of Photoshopping around it to make it very good, then u can make the figure which emerges, you can give it the water material and render it in any other package as always, you can get water material from internet, hopes i help you.thanks…

That’s great - how would you go about modelling the sea side of things. Lovin your signature BTW  especially the first line. In which case, it might help you see what I am trying to achieve by telling you it’s the story of the Exodus and Moses crossing the sea. I’ve got to make the sea alive rather than simply a couple of big waves.

I’ll have a look and see if I can spot the water material some place.
