Help please? unwanted transpose tool

Hey I’m a total newbie to zbrush (and digital for that matter)
Ive been sculpting fine until today when this reticle thing appeared as i tried to use the Move tool. From what i can understand its called a transpose brush. However i do not know how to turn it off. ive searched google and back tracked through menus i may have used incase i toggled something. Ive watched the basic zbrush classroom videos but it doesn’t appear like its mentioned. I tried resetting zbrush’s UI and closing/reopeing the program to no avail
I’m totally at a loss. :frowning:
(the lines are a guide tool i have loaded in so ignore them)
tried to attach a screenshot hopefully that’s worked

I know it is probably really simple but I’m new to this so i have no idea.
appreciate the help
thanks

That’s not actually transpose, but the gyro (http://docs.pixologic.com/user-guide/2d-illustration/the-gyro/).

It looks like you’ve dropped out of edit mode (t).
If you can’t switch back to edit mode, you may have to clear the document (ctrl + n), and redraw your tool first.

Hey cryrid thanks for replying to me.
I tried opening a new doc and closing zbrush completly and reopening it before redrawing again.
As soon as i click move/scale/rotate edit mode turns itself off. I click it to turn it back on but it just turns itself off again

Try selecting the sphere subtool, as I assume that’s what you want to work on. In your screenshot you have the guides thing selected instead and set to not visible, which kind of makes it hard to work on.

like dillster said or you can just delete the guide. there is a “delete” button just below “duplicate”.

Think ive sorted it. The guides werent the problem as it still happened when i tried to sculpt without them.
I just drew out a few zspheres then deleted them and it stopped turning the gryo on.
thanks for the help
sorry for it being a dumbass question

Glad you got it sorted.
