help please closes ZBrush all the time

Hello, I have a problem with my ZBrush 3.1.
the program closes all the time without any apparent reason. crash as you say in English, I do not understand that and I am desperate because I have seen several topics on this and I did everything you recommended and the problem continues.

These are the details of my pc.
Intel Core 2 E7300 2.66 GHz
nvidia 8400 gs 512 mb
xp 64 bit
4 gb ram.

please help in this because I can not do anything with the program :frowning:

Some things to check:


  1. Watch for patterns. Do the crashes normally happen when you save? If so, are you using Ctrl+S to save (which is a known issue) or are you using Tool>Save As. Do the crashes happen when you right-click on the canvas? (Another known issue.) If so, use spacebar to bring up the quick menu instead.
  2. Scan for viruses. It’s possible something corrupted your copy of ZBrush.
  3. Make sure that the drive where ZBrush is installed has plenty of free space, which is defragmented.
  4. Check your custom content. Have you installed plugins? It’s possible that one or more of them are conflicting with ZBrush and/or each other. Have you installed a lot of custom alphas, textures or materials? The limit for each is 25, and putting in more will cause problems.
  5. Test your RAM. Faulty modules will cause problems like you describe.

thanks for reply. normally when the program closes with subtool. I never had to save trouble. regarding the version of my zb, buying in spain page ZBrush, so I can not be a virus, thank you for the fact that the hard drive desfracmentar had not proven :wink:
