Help on zbrush plz

Hey i am new on Zbrush and would like to get help in completing my model. So far i have created my model using Zspheres then importing this to Maya, after this i will put it back into Zbrush to put detail to it, i would like to know how to get the detail to Maya once made. Also is it important to make adaptive skin before importing to Maya. And what is retopology and topology what are they for.

Hi Wleung. I’m a newbiee to Z-Brush too. I bought a couple of books, which have been like gold dust. I think they’re well worth getting as a reference and they explain topology very well, esp. for new folk like us & they come with video tutorials, which are great:

It sounds like you need to learn the fundamentals. Check out the links in my signature. You should start with the tutorial movies, then move on to the online documentation. That will really get you up to speed.
