I’m somewhat new to Zbrush and new to this forum; this is my first post. I’ve spent about a week watching the tutorials at the Zclassroom and getting to know my way around the program. My question is this: I want to create a human body but something is just missing. I saw the Zsphere armature, saw sculpting, but somewhere in between it’s losing me…getting from Zspheres to actual muscle and a head, or a cube to a chest. Something in between just isn’t clicking. Is there any resource or tutorial out there that has body creation in very, very detailed direction? I saw a few other tutorials by browsing and searching this forum but most seemed more advanced or didn’t cover the ground I need. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
What is the particular point that you’re getting stuck on? Is it how to convert the base mesh that you created with ZSpheres into something you can sculpt with? Or is it how to begin detailing a basic base mesh?
It’s more the latter. I can create the Zsphere base mesh alright but after that I’m stuck on how to “fill out” the body. To liken it to sculpting, you could say I’m stuck on how to put clay on the wire armature. Maybe I missed something in the basic tutorials, I’m going to run through them again. If you know what I’m trying to say (hope I’m being somewhat clear) then any other resource or tip would be helpful. Thanks again.
I think it’s mostly practice. I seem to have struggled a lot more than most here and I think it’s partly been due to lack of general anatomy knowledge. It takes a long time to figure out things that would seem obvious for the first time.
The move brush is really nice for doing the rough outline, and I like the clay brush a lot for most of the other thing, so maybe start there.
