HELP - Normal Map Problem - Generating from low poly

Hi,

I have a problem generating a fully detailed normal map.

I had the sculpt with 6 subdivision levels. I took level 1, brought it to 3ds max to unwrap it. Then replaced the original one in zBrush, with the unwrapped one, all the details were projected on the other subdivision levels, like planned.

But then, when I generate the normal map, it’s like there is a normal per polygon from the low poly model or whatever you can call it.(see attached image)

If anyone has any idea of why it does that, please let me know!

your mesh’s UV’s were broken somewhere. Export that out into max and looks to see if the UV’s are welded.

Yeah…tried that, but it’s not working either. It’s the only mesh that does that.

Anyway, I did a projection in 3ds max, which always works well, so it’s all good.
